A figure from Res. Asst. Ayse Demir's article Low temperature magnetic investigation of Fe3O4 nanoparticles filled into multiwalled carbon nanotubes was featured on the cover of Synthetic Metals for January 2014 issue. Demir's work focuses on the incorporation of magnetite nanoparticles into multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and the study of magnetic properties of the composite in low temperatures. The highlighted figure in the cover is a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) image which shows that Fe3O4 nanoparticles are embedded within the MWCNT. The article appears in Synthetic Metals Volume 187, January 2014, Pages 75–80.
